Mobile Banking has been changed to a smart and digital solution called e-Code

After 15 years the e-Pass is going with a well-deserved pension and access to Online Banking and Mobile Banking will change to a smart and digital solution called e-Code. E-Code has been introduced since 2022 with the new Mobile Banking app update. e-Code is even more secure and convenient than the e-Pass. As this is a digital solution there is no need to pick it up at a branch, or to carry it in your wallet. It will be part of the Mobile Banking app and is available via the app.

Benefits and Improvements

  • This upgraded Mobile Banking app now has integrated device registration. During login choose your favorite Quick Login method and enter your 5-digit PIN. After this logging into the app is easy peasy with just a facial scan, fingerprint scan or self-chosen 5-digit PIN.
  • The upgraded app with the integrated e-Code (soft token) is even more safe and user friendly than before. Making payments and transactions is faster and more convenient. With the introduction of ‘Smart Authorization’ transactions on registered devices often don’t even need extra authorization, or are simply authorized with facial recognition, fingerprint scan or self-chosen 5-digit PIN. Say goodbye to your e-Pass!
  • View and manage your registered devices directly from the app. Lost your phone? Login to another registered device – you can register up to three of your devices – and simply remove the lost phone from the list.
  • Use one of your registered devices to setup a new phone. Simply download the MCB Mobile Banking app on your new phone, login with your username, password and e-Code value from one of your other devices and register the phone during the first login. No need to pick up a new e-Pass. Your new e-Code (soft token) is activated remotely from any location.
  • Now view, print or share your current, savings and credit card account statements via the Mobile Banking app. No need to login to Online Banking via the browser anymore.
  • Working with Online Banking via a browser? Now use the integrated e-Code (soft token) generator in the Mobile Banking app to login and authorize payments and transfers instead of the e-Pass. No misplacing or losing the e-Pass anymore. And yes, the e-Code generator even works without an active Internet connection.
